Why they suck

AABBN - the Arlington & Alexandria Bed & Breakfast Network. I booked two rooms with then for the Inaurguation at an agreed rate of $150 per room per person per night - $1,500 + tax total. When my card was processed - a lot more was charged to the card - (circa $1,500). When I questioned I was told by the owner, "the costs have gone up" and I could pay more than agreed or loose the reservation.

My suggestions to AABBN

Actually the can't - theft always sucks. Not all my money was refunded.

My solutions / alternatives to fellow ranters

Simple - do not use them, having a contract in writing means nothing, if they get people willing to pay more, thats it, you loose your reservation and some money in the process.
